Inventory Associate
WIS International
04.2022 - 08.2022
My tasks were to meet up with fellow associates in the morning and begin taking inventory of our assigned store, which would take anywhere from 6-10 hours.
In my time working with WIS I helped take inventory of the following stores: Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar, PJP Marketplace, Ross, and Target.
Crucial skills needed to be good at this job: good cooperation with staff, ability to multitask, great memory, and intuitive navigation (around the stores).
Aircraft Deicer (Seasonal)
Integrated Deicing Services
12.2022 - Current
To help aid in employee shortages, such as in Minneapolis, MN & Atlanta, GA, I'm often selected to help out at other airports outside of my home airport, PHL.
My duties as a deicer include but are not limited to: Operating a deice truck, providing basic maintenance of said truck (fueling, troubleshooting, etc.), and deicing all aircraft that request our services.
Unforeseen circumstances, such as snowy weather, would prompt me to work longer shifts, some exceeding 20 hours, in order to maintain the integrity of the operation.
Just before the end of this season I was offered an opportunity at becoming a Station Trainer at our Philadelphia station due to my devotion to the job, but I declined in hopes I could start a career in ATC instead.
Aircraft Movement Controller (Seasonal)
Integrated Deicing Services
10.2023 - Current
Due to my interest in the Aircraft Movement Controller division of our operation, I was quickly promoted.
The promotion introduced additional responsibilities such as residing in our control tower, monitoring aircraft transponders as well as tuning-in to my airport's Ground Control frequency in order to know when to expect an aircraft.
Helped pilots move to specific "bays" by using clear radio communication, mentioning their unique callsigns and flight numbers, and arranged for necessary services like deicing and aircraft inspections.
Knowledge of the many aircraft types and their compatibility with our bays was necessary.
Ramp Agent
Piedmont Airlines
03.2023 - Current
Assisted with the safe and efficient arrival of aircraft by guiding them into position, unloading passenger belongings, connecting electrical power and air conditioning units, and following strict safety protocols.
Managed the loading of departing aircraft, inspected for any visible damages, and performed pushback operations. Maintained clear and timely communication with the flight crew to ensure readiness for departure clearance.
I demonstrate excellent time management by independently preparing for tasks and arriving at the gate up to 40 minutes early, ensuring timely and effective completion of duties with minimal supervision.
