  • I hold a valid Class A CDL license with a current DOT physical card.
  • Operate light, medium, and heavy transportation vehicles. Vehicles include tractor trailers with fifth wheel, 5 ton cargo transports, 2.5 ton single axle cargo transports, heavy equipment transport trucks (HETT). The vehicles I operate are capable of carrying 5 tons or more and have transmissions with 5 or more forward speeds and at least two driving wheels and two brake systems. Also perform operator level maintenance (PMCS) on the above listed vehicles in accordance with Army technical manuals.
  • Operate heavy engineering equipment such as bulldozer, and grader equipped with such attachments as angle dozer blades, heavy disc and plow to build and/or maintain roads, streets, parking lots, and slope banks. I operated the heavy engineering equipment to remove trees and stumps, cut and clean drainage canals, clear paths. I operate various makes and models of four wheel tractors equipped with various attachments such as front end loader and back hoe, powered by a hydraulic system.

  • During my time as a military Motor Transport Operator I have hauled a variety of arms and ammunition to include: Small arms in secured racks, i.e., M16, M249, M240B, MK19 and M2 .50cal HMG. I have hauled 1.25lb C4 plastic explosives class 1.1, Class 1.4 small arms ammunition, 40mm Grenades, M67 Frag Grenades, Class 1.3 smoke grenades, Class 1.1 missile warheads, as well as spent dunnage from range operations. I have to organize and load these items based on serial and lot numbers as well as ammunition type.
  • I have operated yard and farm tractors of various sizes with attachments for the purposes of ground maintenance on military installations. Such tractors include zero turn mowers, front engine mowers, John Deer enclosed cab tractors with bush hog and finishing mowers, Kubota tractors with bush hog and bat wing mowers. I have operated handheld yard implements such as weed trimmers, blowers, chainsaws and pole saws.
  • Train, mentor and guide new soldiers coming into the Alabama Army National guard. I conduct physical assessment training, academic training, military history training and military customs training to new soldiers in order to prepare them for basic training and advanced individual training. I screen soldiers for the qualities required to become an upstanding and productive soldier in the ARNG. I employ various training methods including hands on practical exercises and power point presentations.

  • I perform mechanical duties on a rebuild line operation and test track environment.

  • I operated air wrenches, power drills, drill presses, soldering equipment, etc.
  • Perform technical inspections of M88 vehicles in order to ascertain deficiencies and shortages and subsequently rectify these.
  • Build and test new(overhaul) M88 vehicles to ensure the vehicles meet Army and Customer standards.
  • Provide status reports for my supervisor updating him on vehicle repair/rebuild process and what stage said vehicle is in.

  • Scale drawings by hand or by tracing the image thrown by a projector. Paint and decorate models, maps, graphic training aids, and status boards, and select coloring to provide contrast and a good appearance.
  • Produce various graphics for routine requirements, such as producing nameplates and interior signs by machine or with engraving tools, and lettering hard hats or equipment numbers.
  • I apply a variety of graphic art techniques to produce signs, posters and displays. I letter small characters freehand taking care to provide proper margins, spacing and formation of letters.
  • I scale drawings by hand or by tracing the image thrown by a projector.
  • On a weekly basis I have to operate a motorized ride-on road striper to paint stripes on roads and parking lot IAW DOT traffic regulations.
  • I make Scotchlite reflective signs, painting background, cutting Scotchlite letters, or painting around the letter, using liquid activator vacuum sign applicator to adhere letters to background material.
