  • I earned a Field Training Officer Certification in my first 2 years of working at Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office.


  • Within 2.5 years of entering the profession, I was promoted to the Criminal Investigations Division.


  • While working in the Criminal Investigations Division I successfully lead a Murder investigation, in conjunction with FDLE agents, which resulted in a guilty disposition from a plea agreement.


  • I successfully lead investigations involving sex crimes, violent crimes, narcotics, and property crimes throughout my 2 years with the Criminal investigations Division.


  • As a result of my hard work as an investigator, I was promoted as a patrol sergeant during my 5th year of employment with the Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office.


  • Currently, approaching 7 years of service, I guide and train young deputies on my shift.


  • I have cultivated a team atmosphere to enhance shift safety and to provide a professional work product.


  • Critical thinking and problem solving are an everyday requirement for my job and position.


  • Leadership Philosophy: Credibility must be built on shift, by the supervisor, for the team to respect the position and rank of the supervisor. Meaning, the shift supervisor and leader must be embedded within the team's work load to provide examples of the expected output of the team.
