Machine Operator

Leeman Architectural Woodwork
02.2024 - Current

As a machine operator I operate a edge bander which applies pvc of different colors and styles to cut parts of wood like plywood.

So my job is to make sure that the edge banding is applied perfectly if it's not I have to make adjustments on a the touch screen to make sure all the motors which do different things cut, round, trim polish are doing there job ..I also have to make sure that the glue is being applied correctly not to much not to little. Also when adjustments are still not fixing the problem I have to manually open up the machine doors and adjust the specific motor or cutter trimmer to do what I need it to do whether cut more or less trim more or less. Once I get it running perfectly then I pass none edge banded parts like doors sides of cabinets counter tops and of after each part is checked for any imperfections they are stacked on a pallet or put back on rollers to be picked up by the assemblers. There's also troubleshooting the machine and a whole lot more that goes with the job but this here is the most part.

Forklift Operator

Saddlecreek Logistics
05.2022 - 01.2024

At saddle creek I operated a double forks sit-down forklift and on occasion a clamp sit-down. My job here was to receive pallets of Gatorade product using the a lxe and a scanner to scan each pallet then go wherever the screen would tell me to go whether it was a a b or c location and what isle also what bay or rack.. it was different for different sized pallets and every now and then they would go directly into its assigned truck when orders where backed up

.So I would down stack 2 pallets at a time from staging areas there were 2 o 3 if you see pallets knock the stack out scan and drive in reverse to its destination place them perfect on to the rolling racks and gently because they would brake then when it was time for the loaders to get them out they couldn't and that was a whole problem.. so I was basically replenishing empty racks all through out the warehouse while at the same time working safe but fast because we could not leave till all the pallets we produced on our shift were putaway ..And also before the start of the shift we would of course do a safety check on the lift then go prepare components for the orders were gonna producing that day whether it was cardboard or labels for the packing machines ..also I would have to on occasions place pallets onto spinning g platforms for the stackers or remove pallets from the wrappers or place stacked pallets onto the wrapping g machines it was hectic at times.. so yes 2 pallets on the forks was the rule that was really the only way you would keep up.

Forklift Operator

Winebow
01.2022 - 01.2023

Here at winebow my duties were to pick cases of glass product then place them on a pallet then wrap and stage them using different types of lifts some days they would need me on the stand up forklift some days I would be picking cases with electric pallet jack and most of the time we would use a sit down forklift to load the trucks at the end of the night

Forklift Operator

Coca Cola United
09.2020 - 10.2021

Here at Coca Cola I was a replenishment forklift operator. My job was to keep the picking bays full of coke product.. Using a double forks forklift I would have to down stack pallets or grab pallets from rolling racks or from the front dock. So basically the order selectors were manually picking cases up and placing them on pallets going up and down the isles and my job was to keep there bays replenished with new pallets whether it was the water or 20oz coke or monster I was constantly grabing pallets from c racks or staging areas .Also replenishing the racks as well this part would be done by going in to the trailers and grabbing pallets taken them to the racks placing them carefully then going back to replenish empty picking bays round and round I went. At the end of the night all empty pallets would be picked up and taken outside

Receiving Forklift Operator

PepsiCo
01.2017 - 09.2020

At pepsico I was a sit down forklift operator. The lift had a lxe computer screen and a scanner attached to it.. with these three tools I would scan pallets of Gatorade or Tropicana product then place them where ever the computer would assign each pallet then take them to the rolling rack gently lay the pallet on the rack them place the second pallet and so on.. So to begin every week we were assigned either "the bridge" which was a giant conveyer/pallet stacker that came from the other building which was the plant side I worked in the distribution center or the dc or we would be assigned the front dock ..When on the bridge I would grab pallets from a moving conveyer these pallets were stacked 2 high so you would have to be Extra careful or they would fall and they would knock down the whole line which was like 20 pallets

That would get you wrote up.. every now and then the stacker would not work so I would stack the pallets which also had to be done carefully or they would fall those pallets would fall for any little reason. Then. Of course scan the pallets drive backwards with them to the rack assigned Scan rack then place pallets gently oooor they would fall.. When on the front dock we would unload or load trucks also called outbound or inbound which would require us to call the window clerk on the radio she would give you a truck let just say door 20 I would then log onto that door and that's when it would guide you to go pick pallets from the racks to be placed in the trucks anywhere from 20 pallets to 32 pallets depending on the length of the truck.. curtain patterns would have to be used to make all pallets fit..if it was inbound the trailer would be full of pallets that you have to unload then place labels on them scan and assign your own location and of course stack scan and take off to the destination hopefully an a location which was the floor b location was the second level c location was the third level also the highest

. pallets would sway on that level we had to have nerves of steel or they would fall..scan and go was the name of the game

Order Selector

Performance Food Group Co

Here at pfg I was a order selector .using a headset and a electric pallet jack I would pick cases of Wendy's and church's product and stack them on a pallet . The cases had to be stacked in a certain pattern and way so the pallets wouldn't fall when being loaded they called it pallet cubing
