Responsible for 10 year Capital Improvement Program for the Library Division, this program includes mechanical, HVAC, electrical, masonry, structural, and space planning needs for current and future library operations.
Responsible for the daily directive of all library maintenance and security operations and staff.
Numerous successful construction projects to date with a meticulous record of being under budget and on time.
Frequently represent the Evanston Public Library with joint interest projects and programs in conjunction with the City of Evanston.
Frequently serve as a library representative in public settings both private and legal settings.
Responsible for the daily direction of 18 journey level skilled union trades and 3 clerical staff, licensed electricians, licensed plumbers, licensed journey level HVAC technicians, masons, locksmiths, carpenters and skilled labor.
This group completed between 4500 – 6000 City generated work orders along with Aldermanic requests on over 2 million sq. ft. (54 facilities) of City of Evanston owned property.
These properties include several critical facilities fire/police, firing range, recreation centers with multi - use applications.
Additionally, was responsible for employee relations, budgets, and City directive.
Project Manager for all City technical construction which includes PIC and non-CIP related maintenance and upgrades, electrical and HVAC.
Utilize several City and vendor software and programs, which included - timekeeping, IRIS, extensive experience with City budgeting, bidding, quoting, purchasing, and RFP procedures.
Served on numerous City bid evaluations teams along with submittal, and proposal review.
Was assigned as the third construction project manager for the Evanston Police Firing Range project finally bringing it to completion ending a period of 5 years without the training range being usable for the Evanston Police.
The completion of this project enabled Evanston Police the ability to qualify at their own clean, modern, facility and not to have to travel to other facilities to qualify.
This alone saved the City thousands of dollars.
Responsible for automating several City owned facilities HVAC systems which increased efficiencies saving countless energy dollars in natural gas and electricity.
This would include several upgrades from pneumatic building control to DDC (EMS).
Project managed several interior and exterior lighting upgrade projects using City and energy program funding.
Secured an extra 5% in State of Illinois DCEO funding for the Main Library chiller replacement project.
