Hello employer,
My name is John and I am a prior active duty air force veteran, I was honorably discharged from active duty out of afsoc base (Hurlburt Field).
Before my service in the military I worked as a automobile mechanic at walmart. I realized that I am a exceptionally good mechanic, most of my family members hold A&P Certifications and where all prior aircraft mechanics in multiple branches and companies. Now I believe it is my turn to carry the legacy as the oldest grandchild. My separation from active duty was met with some very challenging life experiences and changes. While in the military I was married and had one child. This all changed. After my service was over "due to medical reasons" (none of which affect my ability to work) my wife took the child and left with little explanation. I fought for custody as soon as I left the military and did my best to advance my life in such a difficult time. My efforts left me confused as to where my life would go. Finally after some time away from working (my current situation at the time of writing) I came to a clear resolution. I realized while fixing up cars as a "side gig" that I have a great ability and knowledge of mechanics and tools as well as work ethic. So I decided that school was not for me- "attended two schools" and decided to go back into Aviation. I decided to go to my nearest FAA FSDO and obtain my two signed copies of the (8610-2) so I can take my A&P Exams and hopefully obtain my certification. Currently I am living in New York as I needed time away from Florida "where I lived and served" in order to clear my head and re acclimate to civilian life "which was very hard for me". Right now my goal is to hopefully get a job doing what I love to do best and know best which is aircraft mechanics (specifically with AC-130J Gunship) which is the aircraft I worked on extensively. At this moment I am a veteran and single dad that is motivated in looking for a Job in Florida so I can be with my daughter and I can better help support her. Id love to get hired on with a company in the aviation industry so I can refresh my knowledge in order to help me pass my A&P Exams. Currently im scheduled to go to the American Heritage Flight Academy which is a 7-10 day "crash course" to take my A&P Exams on June 10th - June 17th. Regardless I would be grateful for any job opportunity regardless of wether or not it pertains to aviation, bottom line is I need a job. I am a great overall worker with a great amount of ambition/drive and im always punctual (thanks military). I would be happy to obtain employment in any industry and would bring my best foot forward and dedication to the company and my supervisors and those appointed above me and the position. Thank you for reading my small biography and I hope to speak soon!
Very Respectfully,
John Anthony Giordano
