John Guseman

Currently, my primary responsibility is to ensure the security of endpoints, internal servers and networks. I work with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions like Intune and JAMF to manage and secure endpoints throughout the organization. I also implement and oversee our enterprise antivirus solution, CrowdStrike. Additionally, I help manage the Palo Alto VPN to facilitate secure remote access for users. My role involves monitoring security protocols, analyzing vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents to maintain a robust security posture for our IT infrastructure.

In my role as an Integration Engineer, I worked with a complex suite of SaaS solutions that we offered to our customers. My main responsibility was to test pre-production code in our environment, ensuring everything functioned smoothly before deployment. I frequently used tools like Swagger and other API interfaces to validate the integrations and troubleshoot any issues. This role allowed me to collaborate closely with development teams and enhance the overall quality of our software solutions

I provided a white-glove troubleshooting experience for management, ensuring their tech issues were resolved promptly and effectively. I worked with a variety of tools, including the Atlassian Suite, Azure/Entra, and vCenter, which helped me gain hands-on experience with essential IT systems. One of my key projects involved tightening root passwords on linux machines within our DMZ. This experience not only improved my technical skills but also allowed me to contribute meaningfully to our organization’s IT security initiatives
