We build a family culture that includes our players, school, and community With this philosophy the players buy into the off season program, the school spirit is exemplified, and the community reaches out to provide support to our team
We set high goals while having high expectations for everyone in our program Our players know they are loved and respected When there is a need for discipline, we make sure we address the issue We help our kids understand we believe in them and care about them
We spend a lot of time with our kids modeling what family looks like We kick off each year with a senior Christmas dinner at my house All of our coaches wives participate in running one of the activities The players work in groups to rewrite the words to a familiar melody to show teamwork and school spirit The other activities
are designed by players to give to loved ones Throughout the evening the players write a letter to their family, create a gift for their favorite teacher, and then another gift for someone of their choice The feedback from the recipients has been amazing
Each Thursday during the season we break into position groups and those players eat dinner with their teammates The players parents host those dinners at their house Our coaches also host one of the dinners This is a great way to strengthen our football families
Everyone of our players graduates on time, sometimes players graduate a semester early We begin monitoring grades of players as freshmen Study table are provided throughout the year If needed, we follow up with tutoring or summer school
Real Men Read ProgramThis is a district program where men of the community visit a kindergarten classroom and read to the students The students answer comprehension questions and share their favorite part of the book Each month the students receive a copy of the book read
