I worked for Orphanage Outreach from May, 2009 to August, 2010. I left OO over concerns about financial management and serious differences about our Philosophy of Ministry. I returned to the Dominican Republic in August, 2012 to work with Orphanage Hope of a Child after OO withdrew their support. We were there until April, 2013. My role with both organizations was essentially the same. I worked odd jobs between our times in the DR while raising support.

• Provided support for short-term volunteers coming to the Dominican Republic for as short a time as one week or as long as a year. We worked with approximately 50 short term teams.
• Worked with the Orphanage Director to connect volunteers with children in the orphanage.
• Worked with community leaders to provide services to local children.
• Supervised Dominican staff serving our volunteer programs.

I supervised Flooring America's insurance department providing flooring services to people who had suffered damage to their home due to flood or fire.

• Helped each customer navigate the maze of claim fulfillment unique to their particular insurance company, showing them how to maximize their benefits.

I was hired one year after the previous Youth Pastor left. They youth groups had suffered serious decline in numbers. Volunteers were demoralized. They quit en masse the week after I started!
