Senior's Management & Advocacy in Rural Texas, (SMART) Society a 501(c)(3) Corp recognized by the state of Texas and the U.S. Government works to assist the elderly and disabled in navigating Gulf Coast issues. SMART Society also works to expand their knowledge of resources and benefits to enhance the quality of life for Seniors across many rural towns in Texas.

· Foster partnerships with other organizations that share an interest in the Juneteenth Project.
Interview and document Juneteenth experiences from clients.
Assist clients in applying and setting up benefits.
Work with clients to re-establish qualification documents for benefits.
Gathered signatures for petitions to adjust the availability of handicapped public housing.
· Provide support to all cross-cutting projects including Criminal Justice, Community Mediation, and the Core Program.

SMART Society HQ office in Galveston, Texas assist the elderly and disabled citizens with in-home updates, computer skills training, resource qualification and medical assistance updates for insurance coverage. New 2024 programs assist in housing placement and pairing emotional support animals with seniors.
