Driven Pre-Med student-athlete at Sarah Lawrence College with a deep passion for healthcare and a strong foundation in teamwork, leadership, and communication. Experienced as a hospital volunteer, camp counselor, and sales intern, bringing a well-rounded skill set and a commitment to learning and professional growth. Eager to gain hands-on exposure in the medical field while contributing to patient-centered care and upholding high standards of service.
During the summer I volunteered in an inpatient post operative care unit at an orthopedic hospital. I helped transport patients being discharged, set up recovery rooms, prepare ice packs, and provide assistance to the floor nurses and patient care assistants. By volunteering, I was able to develop skills in conversing with patients and empathizing with patients in the vulnerable state they're in post operatively. Through simple acts of care, I gained insight into patient recovery and the compassionate side of healthcare.
As a summer sales intern at Combe, I developed at-home experiments for Astroglide to highlight its superiority over competing lubricants. I created four successful demos that demonstrated clear product advantages and presented my findings to the Astroglide team. I worked under ex-Amazon luxury and beauty marketing head Nick O'Brien, gaining insight into effective marketing strategies and learning how to craft impactful, 'sticky' sales ideas that resonate with consumers.
As a summer sports camp counselor at the YMCA, I led groups of children ages 7-12 in various sports activities. I organized daily schedules, facilitated games, and led skill building exercises, all while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, safety, and inclusion. Additionally, as a counselor a key responsibility was to be a conflict resolver and to maintain open communication with parents. I communicated closely with fellow counselors in order to maintain a safe, fun, and memorable camp environment.
