As a Facility Maintenance Technician my duties are to help maintain the City of Chesapeake Public Utilities Maintenance & Operations buildings, structures and equipment. I have become proficient in using all the tools and equipment necessary to perform these tasks. My job duties include training, supervising, preparing paperwork, using computers, landscaping, trimming, pruning, painting, plumbing, electrical, roofing, flooring, siding, gutters, windows, carpentry, installation, modification, driving vehicles and equipment, vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair, and facility maintenance and repair. I communicate and work with others to identify issues and come up with solutions .

As a tradeshelper my duties were to assist the Facility Maintenance Technician maintain the City of Chesapeake Public Utilities Maintenance and Operations building structures and equipment. I learned and became proficient in using all the tools and equipment needed to perform these tasks. My job duties included landscaping, trimming, pruning, painting, plumbing, electrical, roofing, flooring, siding, gutters, windows, concrete, carpentry, installation, modification, driving vehicles and equipment, vehicle maintenance and repair, equipment maintenance and repair, and facility maintenance and repair.

As a Property Maintenance Technician my duties were landscaping, trimming, pruning, painting, plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, carpentry, cleaning, installation, and modification. I used various landscaping, hand and power tools.

As a Sergeant with the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office my duties were to supervise staff and inmates to ensure the safety and security of the Chesapeake Correctional Center. I supervised both the corrections and booking departments. During the performance of this job I used computers, prepared paperwork, did staff scheduling, staff performance reviews, staff discipline, inmate discipline, emergency response, and medical emergency care. I worked with staff and inmates performing landscaping, cleaning, facility maintenance and repairs, vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs, painting, plumbing, electrical, installation and modification. I communicated and worked with others to identify issues and come up with solutions. I ensured that the correctional center was operating safely and in compliance with codes and standards.

As an Apprentice Funeral Director my duties were to help coordinate funeral services, ensuring adherence to client requests and ethical standards. I assisted in preparation of remains, utilizing proper embalming techniques and performed cremations. I performed training, computer work, paperwork, transportation landscaping, trimming, pruning, cleaning, painting, facility maintenance and repairs, and vehicle maintenance and repairs.

As a Crew Trainer at McDonald’s my duties were training, customer service, food preparation, cleaning, inventory, paperwork, computer use, landscaping, facility maintenance and repairs, equipment maintenance and repair.
