Company Overview: UNOS is responsible for running the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) system for matching organs to recipients
OPTN is the only national waiting list of patients waiting for an organ transplant
Responsible for maintenance and development of the organ match system which matches donors to candidates sorted according to OPTN policy
Responsible for monitoring incoming requests from users to determine the urgency of the request and estimate the effort to correct the issue
Created functional and technical design documents for both maintenance defects and large scale new development projects
Designed, coded, tested, and maintained web pages, web controls, user controls, DLLs, and assemblies using VB.Net and C#
Designed coded, tested and maintained stored procedures, view, triggers, and data scripts written in SQL Server T-SQL
Used Visual Source Safe, Visual Studio TFS, GIT, and ADO for source control

Designed coded, tested and maintained stored procedures written in SQL Server 7.0

McKesson was converting to a new imaging system and I was brought in to support the conversion
Designed, coded, and tested a Visual Basic 6.0 program to convert existing image files to a format that could be imported into the new imaging system

Company Overview: Contract programmer supporting Datatrace, Inc
A subsidiary of Land America Corp
Datatrace converted from a mainframe-based title search system to an AS/400 package
The new package did not include a billing system so it needed to be written in-house
I designed, coded, tested, implemented, and maintained a billing system for Datatrace to augment the new AS/400 system
Working alone on the project I completed it on time and within budget
Designed, coded, and tested AS/400 programs to create customer invoices and reports
Programs were written in COBOL ILE, CL, DB2, and SQL
Designed, coded, and tested a MS Access application to create invoices and other reports
Connected Access to AS/400 DB2 database using ODBC
Supported the conversion from the mainframe to the AS/400
Supported an application written in Visual Basic 4.0
While at Datatrace I also used my MS Access skills to automate and simplify some of the duties performed by the administrative staff

Company Overview: Member of the Order Management Support team
I supported systems the merchandising department used to manage inventory
These systems have helped Circuit City trim their inventory by $15.3 million dollars a year while having less out of stock issues
Provided 24 hour on-call support for AS/400 and UNIX/Oracle batch cycles
Batch cycles were managed by ROBOT on the AS/400 and TIVOLI on the UNIX boxes
Designed, coded, tested, and implemented COBOL programs
Designed, coded, tested, and implemented MS Access Applications used to by merchandising to analyze sales and forecast data
Developed an Access front end to send vendor forecasts via EDI
Project leader on a major enhancement to the Demand Planning package
Responsible for overseeing two contractors assigned to work on the project
Wrote, tested, and implemented UNIX scripts and Oracle PL
SQL scripts to extract data from the old system and import it into the new system
