John Lucero

Baltimore,United States

Summary

I have worked in the Orthotics and Prosthetics field for over 15 years and have had accumulated the skills, experience and knowledge to manage a clinical office while also remaining an active clinician and maintaining my education in other fields. During those 15 years I've played the role of Business Development, Patient care coordinator, Accounts payable, Inventory Coordinator, Office manager and Lab supervisor. We grew from a satellite office with two members in 2014 to a now 8 member team with a greater than 10% growth year over year since 2019. Maintaining relationships with referral sources as a clinician has given me valuable experience in navigating the medical field and have gained insight into other fields such as physical therapy, wound care, orthopedics and pediatric care. During my years at Hanger I have helped facilitate the transition of two acquisition teams from a private practice, to Hanger's electronic medical record system and operating procedures. One of which is the Inventory audit.

My time at D&J medical has given me an insight into a broader mechanism of multispecialty teams being part of now currently two hospital systems. Leading the DME system between multiple hospitals and within those, further multiple hospital teams to strengthen the patient care and reliability to provide for all patients under our umbrella has reinforced my previous experiences and am confident in being able to tackle the next step.
