While working at D1 Mold & Tool I have operated mainly vertical mills with FANUC controls and at times operated our 5-axis machine which utilizes Heidenhain controls. I have also used Mastercam to make some of my own programs. When I’m needed I also assist in assembly.
When I started working at Delaware Dynamics I was an apprentice on a Cincinnati Gilbert boring mill. Shortly after I was moved to train on a Haas machine and then was moved to my own two Haas machines. A HS3 and a VF3. While in that position I would rough parts before they were sent out to heat treat. I hand wrote my own programs for Drilling holes, thread milling, and cutting pockets and keys. I was responsible for reading table sized prints that would often times consist of 3-6 sheets per part. At times, I would have to use trigonometry for angled holes or pockets, and on rare occasions to make D-Shaped holes. My primary machine was the HS3, but I was expected to operate both machines as much as possible to utilize time properly. Over time I excelled at that position and on 2/12/2024 I was moved to a 5-axis machine, a DMG MORI 210 with heidenhain controls to train on qualifying and finishing parts.
While at Sugarcreek I was a production assistant. I worked in a room with two large machines that would blend and grind meat with a team of seven people. I weighed spices, operated a motorized pallet Jack, and operated the machines.
After my completion of basic training I was sent to airborne school and then to my unit which was the 173rd Airborne
Combat Brigade Team. I excelled as a lower enlisted soldier and spent the majority of my time there was a weapons squad team leader in charge of three soldiers. At times, I was also an acting squad leader in charge of seven to nine soldiers.
After spending two years in the 173rd I was sent to Colorado to be a part of the 4th Infantry Division where I continued to
lead teams until my time of service was up in December of 2018.
While in the army I was instilled with core values such as honesty and integrity which shaped me into who I am today. I
learned how to communicate with people from all walks of life to help reach the goals set out by our chain of command
while also helping my soldiers achieve their personal goals.
