Affiliations

Met with a group of local social service individuals in February 1991 and stated what has become the Central LA Homeless Coalition. A local sitting judge and myself are responsible for obtaining the 501(c)3 IRS tax exemption and the LA state ID for the coalition as well as started the board of directors. I am happy to say as a result, the coalition is responsible for bringing in several million dollars into the local district to be used for homeless population agencies such as the coalition, Hope House, and various other shelters in our district. I worker with this board for some 14 years representing the homeless service from the VA Medical Center at which time the VAMC hired a social worker to serve as the homeless coordinator.

I have also served on the Cenla Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board since early 1991 up to Covid. I am informed that the advisory board will start back up meeting sometime in January 2025.

I have served this past year as a board member on the Rapides Council of Aging. I currently serve as president of the Board of Director for the Rapides Council of Aging.
