New Construction HVACR

Worked on new construction homes and apartments. Main job was to put the duct together and insulated if necessary. Would seal all the ducts with tape or duct seal. I would also run bath fans and drill out holes to where they would lead out. For a few months I also helped drive the box van to deliver and pick up supplies from different job sites. I would then reorganize and take inventory of what was at the shop.

My main job was to assist on replacing units. This with both furnace as well as A/C. I would help disconnect them and properly made sure they were disposed up correctly or have them secured on the van. I would then help set things up and begin to hook up the wiring and gas. I would learn on how to braze and charge the unit properly. There would also be times where I was taught how to measure duct work for transition duct work pieces.

  • Removed old equipment from customers' homes and cleaned up areas to prepare for new installations.
