• Responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients in clinical settings during scheduled hours. The scope of services includes outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.

• Prepare and submit assessments, progress notes, reports, and summaries to entities, agencies (funders, insurance companies, etc.). As required.
• Return calls, messages, and emails promptly (within 24 hours of receipt, or sooner if clinically necessary).
• Respond to client emergencies, and be accessible 24/7 to address crises.
• Responsible for making independent decisions based on protocols developed using national guidelines for treatment interventions.
• Responsible for maintaining customer relations with all agency staff and clients.
• Maintain medical records, and submit at least 10% of records to the supervising psychiatrist for biweekly review in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement.
• Records all services performed for accurate billing for services provided in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as rules and regulations. Submits billing documents in a timely fashion.
• Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. Provides teaching and education to clinical staff, if requested.
• Follow all procedures and protocols as per Provident policy, federal and state regulations, standard practice, and in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement.

The 370-bed facility provides in-patient psychiatric treatment to children, adolescents, and adults in North Carolina

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Administratively responsible for all nursing personnel and delivery of nursing care on their assigned shift (after business hours – holidays and weekends).
• Monitors and evaluates quality of nursing care delivery hospital wide.
• Participates in direct patient care (role modeling of clinical expertise) and makes recommendations for changes in Standards of Care.
• Assists charge nurses in making decisions regarding placement of patients with special needs. Specifically, in management of units and hospital-wide crisis/emergencies.
• Manages clinical resources through supervision of staff and rounding on all units at least once per shift to assess status of patients, condition of milieu and assisting with problem-solving.
