Air Force Commendation Medal with "C" Device - 30APR2020

-Awarded for outstanding achievement while deployed to Kobani Landing Zone, Syria with the 441st Air Expeditionary Squadron. From 31OCT2019 to 13NOV2019, I managed the installation's sole munitions account and orchestrated emergency munitions disposal operations while forward deployed in support of Operations INHERENT RESOLVE and DELIBERATE RESOLVE II. I conducted 124 demolition operations, effectively destroying 100,000 hazardous munitions while personally exposed to significant risk of hostile action from encroaching near peer adversaries on all sides. Additionally, I filled a heavy equipment manning shortfall and dug over 100 demolition trenches to create a munitions disposal site. These efforts enabled the safe destruction of more than 20,000 pounds of explosives to be disposed of within 300 feet of Syria's most valuable landing zone with zero mishaps. Finally, my team performed four inside and outside the wire missions attached to a Joint Response Force. Acting as a combat multiplier for TASK FORCE 9.5 composed of Army Green Berets and Navy SEALs, we disposed of 80 unexploded ordnance, eight Top Secret hard drives and 90 items of captured enemy material, to include explosive components from 16 improvised explosive devices. We were armed the entirety of this two week forward deployment, and during our outside the wire mission
