Loaded and unloaded tools and machinery needed for the task of the day. Operated, maintained in good working condition such machinery. Machinery including fork lift, boat, lawnmowers, weed eaters, blowers and vehicles and trailers of all sizes. Mowing, weed eating, blowing and repairs of bridges and right of ways.

Responsibilities included mowing, brush hogging, weed eating, chain sawing and distributing safety signs prior to work. Our work area covered the cemeteries, roadways, Harrison County grounds and bridges.

I supervised the laundry department for 3 years, in which I was responsible for 60 inmates. Making sure they completed their tasks on a timely schedule.

I supervised the kitchen department for 5 years, in which I was responsible for 125 inmates. Making sure meals were cooked and served by state regulations. I also supervised 15 inmates in the warehouse. Duties also included ordering, maintaining rotation and correct inventory levels of food and supplies.

I supervised the plumbing department for 12 years, in which I had 2 inmate helpers. Duties included maintaining and repairing all water and sewer lines, adding chemicals and additives as needed, ordering parts, and making all repairs in inmate cells.

I was responsible for repairing and maintaining water and sewer lines. I operated back hoe, packers, road boring machine. I set water and sewer taps according to my instructions.
