I’m in charge of a small group of warehouse employees made up of 8 people. We take care of all of Southern California credits and returns. Which means we make sure the customer gets credit for whatever product they don’t want or which has been broken on the truck during transportation.

• Properly conducts a pre and post trip inspection, notating any vehicle defects. Abides by the DOT hours of service rules and regulations for their license type.

• Accurately delivers invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet or hand-stack from the delivery truck and placing said merchandise into customer account.

• Verifies receipt of correct order with the customer by checking product type and size against the provided invoice, obtains customer signature and payment if necessary, for goods received.

• Provide feedback to transportation management in terms of route changes or route concerns.

• May utilize a smartphone for interaction with hours of service (HOS) software and/or driver monitoring programs.

• Safely and properly unload a trailer of product, verify the load for accuracy and stage for put away.
• Pick and pack orders using label picking, ring scanners, voice directed picking or paper picket tickets.
• Assist in physical inventories and cycle counting as directed.
• Certified on a pallet jack, forklift, and reach truck.
• While my supervisor is away I will delegate work to other employees.
• I train new employees.

• Deliver trees and tools to job site.
• Helping plant trees and picking up the trash and taking it to the dump.

• Deliver cement orders in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain my truck clean and keep in good running condition.
• Document and properly keep track of our hours worked.
• Maintain a log book for any maintenance that my work truck might need.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• I would need to properly adjust my cement based on the type of cement that the customer requested.
• Training of new hires.
• Keep in contact with dispatch so they can let me know what my next assignment was.
• Keep dispatch informed and updated on the status of the job site.
