By working many different types of jobs and a variety of industries. I have learned hands on to do many job tasks. I have the ability to learn new tasks and jobs very quickly and to do them in a safe and timely manner. I have loved and enjoyed having the jobs that I have done. I take pride in my work. I work hard, stay focused and stay ahead of all my work tasks. I multitask and prioritize my time very well. I'm continuing to learn and refresh my education by taking online courses to make me a better person and employee. I'm always pushing myself to be committed to excellence. My qualifications started at a young age learning what hard work is by my father and mother, in which I'm passing down to my children today. That hard work is not easy but you only get out of it, is what you are willing to put into it. Never saying it cant be done.   • The driller is responsible for the operating, repairing drilling equipment, and supervising a work crew. The driller will operate and monitor the essential systems of the drilling rig that include; well control, mud systems and power systems found on a drilling rig.
  • Performs rig up, rig down and operating activities for 12-16 hours per day, for 7-14 consecutive days.
  • Organize rig moves and setting up of a rig and camp.
  • Operates and repairs drilling equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assists Rig Manager to oversee and ensure assigned crews are properly trained in accordance with company requirements. This includes conducting training for all primary and secondary drilling operations.
  • Understanding and demonstrates the safe handling, proper application disposal of drilling fluids.
  • Establishes a relationship with the crew and acts as a liaison between the crew and the Rig Manager.
  • Ensure all well control equipment is properly maintained, repairs are completed in a timely manner, and all personnel are properly trained to operate the equipment.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive safety culture climate in all work practices, enabling personnel to slow down or stop tasks that are deemed to have excessive risk.

  • The derrickman is primarily responsible for handling tubulars in the derrick and maintaining the mud system.
  • Mixing chemicals in a safe and efficient manner by checking and mixing weight properly.
  • Performs maintenance on mud tanks and pumps.
  • Monitors and operates the shakers, works on mud pumps pits, and chemical sacks.
  • Maintains an inventory of all pump parts.
  • Sustain oil levels at adequate levels, grease and check oil in agitator, crown and in mud pumps.
  • Pulls/latches drill pipe and collar depending on task while on monkey board.
  • Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

  • Ensure the safety and quality of the tubulars in the derrick and the mud system.

Motorman

  • The motorman is primarily responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing drilling machinery and equipment. The motorman will perform all maintenance to the equipment, including minor repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Keep track of engine hours for preventance work.
  • Operates and inspects forklift, manlift, and catwalk.
  • Document any equipment failures or malfunctions on report and communicate to the driller.
  • Documents labor tasks on the rig floor and blow out the preventer area.
  • Responsible for nippling up and nippling down with the BOP system.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks on generators, SCR, Koomey unit, crew quarters and rig site.
  • Accountabilities:
  • Ensure any equipment failures or malfunctions on reports are communicated to the driller.
