March 1999 - March 2004: Environmental Engineer in charge of development of new air emission standards assigned to the Emission Standards Division/ Minerals and Inorganic Chemicals Group.
April 2001 - August 2001: Assigned to the Office of Enforcement Compliances National Enforcement Training Institute (NETI) in Washington, D.C. Responsible for development of training materials and NETI training website.
March 2004 - May 2005: Recalled by US Navy to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.
June 2005 - December 2008: Environmental Engineer assigned to the Monitoring Policy Group. Responsible for development of new emission factors and monitoring policy and monitoring requirements review for national air quality rules.
December 2008 - May 2010: Environmental Engineer assigned to the SPPD/ Program Design Group: Responsible for the development of the current sector-based project management system, management of the Information Collection Request (ICR) process for all rules assigned to SPPD, budgeting and program planning for SPPD.

July 2010 to April 2016: Assigned to the Policy and Strategies Group (PSG) as a Staff Engineer within the Sector Policies and Programs Division. Responsible for coordinating delisting and listing actions from Clean Air Act regulations for hazardous air pollutants and major sources, such as electric utilities. I worked as a coordinator for the Response to Comments team for the Clean Power Plan. SPPD SharePoint Coordinator and Information Systems Coordinator. Also, responsible for SharePoint interface development of experimental natural language processing software, designed to automate the management and organization of legal comments received on environmental standards published by the EPA.
May 2016 – November 2017. Recalled to active duty with U.S. Africa Command in Stuttgart, Germany. I was the acting engineer branch chief for the command. I was responsible for setting construction and engineering policy in Africa, and monitoring over $900 million worth of ongoing and planned construction on the African continent.
December 2017 – Present. Assigned to the PSG as an environmental engineer. I have overseen four SPPD teams, improving knowledge management, rule consistency, IT projects development, and data and modeling file development. I am currently in charge of the consistency review of all SPPD rule packages and modeling file development.

As a Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officer, I am responsible for the management and leadership of US Navy Construction Engineering Battalions, Navy Civil Engineering and Construction Programs and Land Based Navy Environmental Programs. My primary experience has been in the leadership and management of Naval Mobil Construction Battalions.
April 1999 - September 2001: Officer in charge of a 40-person engineering detachment in Raleigh, NC for Naval Construction Force Support Unit Three (NCFSU 3).
October 2002 - September 2003: Administrative Officer for the 20th Naval Construction 250 Person Unit Located in Gulfport, MS.
October 2003 - September 2004: Officer in charge of a 35-person engineering detachment in Columbia, SC for Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB 74).
March 2004 - July 2004: Watch Officer at First Naval Construction Battalion, Little Creek NAB.
August 2004 - March 2005: Liaison Officer for 1st Marine Expeditionary Force (IMEF), Fallujah, Iraq during second battle for Fallujah.
April 2005 - September 2007: Company Commander for a 140-member company located in Virginia and North Carolina, operations officer for a 600-member battalion (NMCB 23) for a 6-month period.
September 2007 - September 2009: Company commander for 115-member vehicle maintenance detachment Navy Cargo Handling Battalion Ten (NCHB-10) located in Williamsburg, VA.
September 2007 - September 2009: Equipment Officer with Naval Cargo Handling Battalion 10 (NCHB 10), responsible for 15-person maintenance detachment and all major battalion equipment.
October 2009 – December 2013: Future Operations Officer for Third Naval Construction Regiment. Responsible for an 8-person department engaged in planning for a task force of approximately 5,000 engineers. Oversaw the planning and funding for all minor US military construction projects (under $750K each) for Regional Command South and West.
December 2013 – November 2016 US Southern Command: Future Operations Officer, in charge of the operations and assignment of personnel for 20-member unit supporting engineering support for US forces in Latin America and the Caribbean.
November 2016 – November 2019: Officer in Charge. In charge of a 9-person unit responsible for providing Engineering Support for United States Africa Command in Stuttgart, Germany.
August 2019 – Retired from USN Reserves as a Commander.
