John Watt

My name is John Watt, and for the past six years, I have been part of the Ole Miss Football program, serving in various roles including Equipment Manager, Defensive Student Assistant, Defensive Assistant, and most recently, Defensive Analyst.

During my first five seasons, I was responsible for breaking down route and run concepts, assisting coaches with practice planning, facilitating practice operations, and signal calling for the defense. Upon graduating, I was hired full-time as a Defensive Assistant, where I supported the Defensive Line by preparing drill scripts, producing weekly film cutups, and creating playbook diagrams.

Following the 2023 season, I was promoted to Defensive Analyst. In this role, I contributed to the team’s game-planning efforts, conducted in-depth film analysis, performed advanced scouting of opponents, and assisted in the recruitment of both high school athletes and transfer portal prospects.

I am now seeking to further advance my professional career and am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your organization.
