• Engages more than 480 students at 6 different grade levels (K-5) to foster a lifelong love of music
• Teaches choral music and proper vocal technique to a combined 4th/5th grade chorus totaling over 100 students
• Fulfills the requirements of the curriculum while creating engaging lessons
• Planned, rehearsed, and conducted a winter choral concert in 2019
• Was rehearsing and planning for a spring concert in 2020 when COVID shut down the schools
• Designed and completed a virtual chorus project

Key achievement: Creating a unique COVID-safe performance opportunity for my singers called a “sans-cert” with no opportunity to perform in an actual live concert available.

• Taught Microsoft Excel and Personal Finance (7th and 8th)
• Taught Design and Technology I, II, and III (9th to 12th)
• Taught Business Enterprise and Accounting II (12th)
• Taught elementary and secondary classes via Zoom (as well as utilizing a similar hybrid model currently in use in AACPS) to satellite campuses in the United States
• Devised engaging curricula and lesson plans for all classes with no specific private school curricula available

Key achievement: Became the “plug and play” teacher who was often called in to teach any subject if a class found itself without a teacher. This was the result of a proven ability to communicate with students at any level on any concept.

• Taught three sections of 8th grade Choir, three sections of 7th grade Choir, and two sections of 6th grade Choir totaling approximately 300 students
• Taught World Music 6 and 7, and two sections of American Music 8
• Planned and executed 2 concerts for all three choirs plus adjudication throughout the year for 8th grade choir

Key achievement: Increased sight-reading scores at adjudication one level my first year

• Taught entry-level Concert Choir and advanced Chamber Choir
• Trained all choral students on proper vocal technique and basic music theory
• Taught 2 units of Guitar I
• Diversified across the Arts and English departments by teaching Theatre I
• Planned and executed 3 concerts plus adjudication throughout the year for both choirs
• Directed after-school extracurricular acappella chorus and was Musical Director for the Spring musical theatre production

Key achievement: Mentored solo performances for the annual vocal department cabaret

Important note: The principal at the high school I interned for brought me with her to Dulaney when she was hired there. She could only bring me on as a .5 my first year, but she was determined to make me full-time the following year.
