I was interviewed by 4 LMS consultants and programmers and the supervisor of Labor Management Systems at AMTRAK. I was an expert in Cobol and CICS on the IBM mainframe and was Microsoft Certified for .Net. I knew SQL but not DB2 specifically.
The position was supposed to be for .Net Web Server only but I was hired because I had extensive Cobol expertise that would be useful on the mainframe side of the Paperless Time Ticket sytem.

I would rewrite parts of systems that were not operating optimally. I was "Mr. Fixit" for many projects during and after development. I would be a technical advisor on installing new systems developed by Riggs or bought from others like our M&I Deposit Systems. I was a Vice President from 1977 to 2005 when PNC bought the bank.
