Lab Manager:
· I'm familiar with the minimum testing requirements (MTR's), current spec book, special provisions and plan reading.
· Sampling and testing materials:
· Reporting test results: (daily lab worksheets, MT-1s, yields, concrete reports, density worksheets, plant reports/ strap reports)
· Filing reports: (uploading worksheets into the electronic files and saving copies in office files, compiling into monthly reports, summery of testing credits)
· Auditing: reports submitted to me for corrections and acceptance.
· Meeting deadlines: (monthly reports, tests for each month must be submitted by cutoff date)
· Staying organized: In charge of maintaining and keeping track of equipment in our possession as well as transferring equipment.
· Communication: Keeping in contact with the contractor, subcontractor, supplier and department. Sending and receiving emails as well as attending meetings.
Preparing coworkers: for TTCP/ACNM certification courses by providing on job training (OJT)
Field Inspector:
An Engineering Technician II meets and consults with engineers, contractors, and others on difficult construction matters. Make field engineering estimates, collect samples, measure and test quantities and materials and make complex calculations. Prepare and compile complex written technical reports.
