In October I converted from Manpower to a full time Kraft employee. After my conversion I returned to my original position as a placer. Since my conversion I have not been officially assigned to a line so I float. The benefit to this has been the experience I've gained by being able to work the differing lines. I now have experience placing every type of food product we offer in our Lunchables at Kraft Heinz in Garland. I have been able to utilize my machine and deboxer training on occasion as well when the need has risen.

As a temp with Manpower I began as a placer on 3rd shift at Kraft. I was assigned to 25 line and my line lead was Keith Davis. I became proficient at placing all the products used on 25 line by watching more experienced placers and applying the methods they used. After about a month I expressed to Mr. Davis that I wanted to learn how to operate machines so, he allowed me to began training on the Denester. Once I was proficient enough on the Denester to run it myself, I became the relief for the operator. Over the following 5 month period I learned how to run the cheese harp, load and clean the slicers, clean the robots, load the cracker machine, and began training on the Mondini to be a mondini relief. During this time I was working and training as a Deboxer as well. As a Deboxer I made sure that the product staging area was kept clean and free of trash and debri as these things can create trip hazards. I also ensured that the operators and placers had sufficient product to keep the line running, and I learned how to read and judge line flow so that on days we had sanitation product waste was prevented.
