I've held a fascination for cartoons and cartooning since I was ten years old. Favorite artists include Robert Crumb, Mort Drucker, Gary Larson, Bill Watterson, Homer Davenport, and Jim Christiansen.

My passion for capturing moving images is new and is growing. Most of my vacations are now spent with my wife, wandering off and capturing images of this beautiful planet. I'm really excited to improve, and to incorporate natural footage with dramatic human interactions.

Some years ago, I realized the best way to avoid added sugar and chemicals in my food was to buy fresh meat and produce. The next natural step in this method of "quality control" was to cook. Actually cook, not just apply heat and hope for the best. I've gotten good at it, and it's hard to imagine that I spent so much of my life NOT cooking.

Smoking succulent meats was the natural extension of learning how to cook. I cannot tell you how much I love creating a feast of pulled pork for my family. Or smoking a brisket perfectly, then holing up in my closet so as not to share with anyone! Just kidding.
