Member Municipality Emergency Operations Center. Developed the action plan before the Irma and María Hurricane for the Municipal Department of Public Works. Assist victims to fill their needs. Field inspections with the USACE, USDA and FEMA correspondents. Assistant liaison between the municipality and FEMA preparing the documentation for Project Worksheets. Directed the removal and disposal activities in the temporary disposal site.

Interim Director Municipal Department of Public Works. Supervised construction brigades, public transportation system and its routes, solid waste management routes. Established a program to reform the department, including creating standards to achieve good standards with the state and federal regulations.

Executive Assistant Planning Office. Recruited to reorganize the Planning Office of the municipality which was closed for almost 3 years. I oversaw the revision of the municipal Territorial Plan to ensure a more efficient use of the municipal resources and maintain and order of the planned development in the future.

Contributions:

• Evaluation of permits for endorsement of projects. Review proposed construction projects and their impact in municipality as well as commercial proposal for endorsement.
• Board member of Municipal Enterprise. Created different businesses to increase municipal budget.
• In charge of revision of the Municipal Territorial Plan. With coordination of state agencies, worked to improve a 10 years old Territorial Plan.
• Project manager. In charge of different projects like Multi-use Coliseum Complex, Rehabilitation of the historic Machín Ramos house, Construction of new transit mini terminal and the Reconstruction of sidewalks in the urban area.

Worked as intern performing Operational Analysis using SIDRA Intersections of seven intersections at Municipality of Añasco and Rincón and write technical report of results. Acquired knowledge of Jamar TDC Ultra Counter board to make Saturation Flow Study, Count of Vehicles Study, and Vehicle Classification Study.

Research topic: Statistics Application to Analyze Transportation Systems using Highway Capacity Manual to determine Level of Service of crosswalks in signalized intersections under supervision of Dr. Didier Valdés.

Project manager of transportation area. Scheduled meetings for work updates weekly. Distributed work to be performed during semester. Tasks included design of highways, vehicle counts study, intersection study using Synchro, MUTCD utilization, and writing technical reports.

Worked under supervision of a team of engineers performing inspections of storm water infrastructure of State Highway (PR-22) and highway signalization. Also, made inventory of highway signs throughout PR-22.
