  • I have done and am, in my current role, doing everything from check in to check out and anything in between. Collect and scan Photo ID’s and Insurance cards, verify demographic information such as address, telephone numbers, etc. Work closely with providers to ensure patient care; Making sure patient needs are met in a timely fashion. Initiate and complete medication prior authorizations, and procedure authorizations, phone calls and communication between providers and patients and/or family members/caregivers. Scheduling, insurance verification's, prescription renewals, submitting referrals, charting, prior authorizations/appeals, patient assistance, collecting payments, prescription renewals, vitals, entering/submitting lab/procedure orders, charting, medical history, and medication reconciliation.

  • I was, like many people during this time, unemployed. I chose to go back to school and decided to take nursing.
  • This went well until the rotation for the program started and only 20 students were being selected that year and only one rotation. I was # 21 of 20 and as a single mother could not wait for the next rotation to start as my unemployment was going to be running out in a few weeks. That is how I ended up at Park Ridge Health.

To ensure that compliance with DSS and DHSR regulations were maintained. This team then became two smaller teams and put that plan into action, splitting the 20 homes and inspecting/monitoring each one weekly. The program was so well liked that both organizations told other facilities about it so that they too, could use it to monitor their facilities.
