John's Experience

Oneida Nation Enterprises: 2018 - 2023

Having quickly excelled from Security Officer, to Senior Security Officer, to Security Supervisor, I played an integral part in the opening of Oneida Nation's 4th casino/restaurant called The Lake House at Sylvan Beach, located in Upstate New York. My duties as a Supervisor included weekly scheduling, supervising, training and payroll of up to 15 Officers. My duties also included regularly dealing with both guest and team member complaints, with peaceful conflict resolution being paramount. Other duties included investigations of both guests and team members in regards to theft of Nation Property, and responding to any and all emergency situations on the property including medical issues, power outages and fire alarms. I was also responsible for weekly large cash transfers to Brinks. My Military medic/EMT background  was also instrumental in becoming a certified CPR/AED instructor for Oneida Nation, being certified thorough the American Heart association.

New England Motor Freight 2001 - 2018

As a Commercial Class A Tractor Trailer driver, my duties included pick up and delivery of various types of freight throughout the central NY area. Other duties included the loading and unloading of trailers using fork lifts and hand pallet jacks. Providing excellent customer service to each customer was extremely important in retaining current customers.

Robin's Experience

Oneida Nation Enterprises: 2019-2023

I started my employment at Point Place Casino, the Nations 3rd casino as a Sport Book writer. In 2021 I was promoted to Sport Book Supervisor and relocated to Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona New York. My duties  as a Supervisor included counting and verifying the daily bank for the Sport Book operation as well as creating cash drawers for 5 writers. Along with cash handling the Sport Book had 27 large screen televisions to be programmed daily for sporting events. Daily reports and logs of large wagers from guests were included in my daily tasks. Exemplary customer service was of vital importance in my role as supervisor. While employed at Oneida Nation Enterprises I was awarded the "Silver Spirit Award" several times for going above and beyond my duties both as a ticket writer and as a supervisor.

New England Motor Freight: 2003-2019

My employment at NEMF started as an OS&D clerk, an entry level position. In 2007 I was promoted to City Dispatch Supervisor. As supervisor I was responsible for 30 P&D drivers. I would manifest daily routes and send drivers pickups to be made along their routes. I was also responsible for the location of any and all equipment (tractors and trailers) for the Syracuse NY terminal. In 2011 I was promoted to Outbound Supervisor. This was the linehaul operation for the terminal. I was responsible for overseeing 15 drivers and 12 dock workers. My duties included sending load projections to our main hub in Elizabeth NJ Linehaul operation, delegating strip manifests to dock workers and manifesting outbound loads to be sent to our 25 terminals within the Northeast and Ohio. I also played an integral part in the John Deere operation within the Syracuse terminal. Receiving inbound loads of parts, mowers and farm equipment was part of my daily routine. Customer service also played a vital role in my daily routine as I would take calls from shippers and customers along with any of our sister terminals.
