I am an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic/Field Training Officer/Search and Rescue/Company Officer/Battalion Chief Intern currently employed with Collier County EMS for the past 20 years. I am skilled at remaining calm under pressure. I am highly motivated, an exceptional problem solver, and I take pride in making important and rational decisions in both emergency and non emergency situations. I am BLS, ACLS, CPR, HAZMAT, PALS, ITLS and Strike Team Leader certified. I am an EMT and Paramedic preceptor and have managed several students while doing their mandatory ride times over the past 16 years. I have been a Field Training Officer for 15 years and have taken great pride in being part of the Training Department. I am responsible for training the new paramedics that require credentialing with our medical directors. To date, I have successfully trained and credentialed 17 paramedics for Collier County EMS. I was a member of the SWAT/Tactical team at its inception. I have been a member of the SAR team since its commencement in 2009 and have been on multiple search and rescue missions. I have facilitated and presented the HUG A TREE program in Collier County schools as well as summer school programs and community events such as the Kids Love Fishing and Festival in the Woods. I have also planned and hosted two major open house events throughout the years as well. I was promoted to Company Officer in August of 2016. I became a Battalion Chief Intern in 2018 and have remained active in the program over the past 5 years.
