● Supervises convenience site personnel including scheduling, timecard approval, managing staff morale, performance management, and training site staff on departmental policies and procedures, proper cash handling, customer service, waste screening, and proper material handling.
● Oversees collection of solid waste and recyclables, at convenience sites, accepting only appropriate items and screening for non-permitted waste materials.
● Serves as a clearinghouse for conflict resolution for staff and citizens.
● Ensures compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations to include conducting routine safety and security audits of each site.
● Tracks condition and repair of assigned equipment, and locations and works with Landfill Supervisor and Vehicle Maintenance on needed equipment and grounds repairs, including compactor containers.
● Conducts regular cash box audits at sites. Performs as backup for site deposit reconciliation.
● Holds staff accountable for maintaining cleanliness of the facility, parking area, grass, and roadside. Conducts and documents monthly site audits to inspect for maintenance needs.
● Monitors access and use of facility. Works with site monitors on education of patrons in proper disposal methods.
● Completes and submits reports as required by local, state, and federal regulations and departmental policy and procedure.
● Manages projects as needed for site upgrades and changes.
● Collaborates with other Solid Waste personnel, other departments, vendors and commercial haulers to provide the best experience for citizens.
● Visits each site weekly to make sure compliance and training are effective and to check for safety concerns.
● Prepare and organize daily supplies for each site. Ensure supplies are delivered as needed.
● Maintain and reorder site supply inventory.
● Prepare updates daily for the Solid Waste Director.
● Performs duties as a site monitor, when necessary.
● Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member, if appointed or volunteer.
● Performs related tasks as required.
● Meet and greet customers; direct citizens entering site on proper disposal of solid waste and recyclables; maintain appearance of site; assist the public with questions.
● Greets customers and directs them to the proper location for disposing of materials; assists customers with heavy objects, if necessary; answers customer questions and provides information.

● Perform the duties of a Sales Associate and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
● Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
● Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer’s purchase, collect payment from customers and make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as necessary.
● Follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack boxes, cartons, and totes of merchandise; stock merchandise, restock and rotate merchandise on shelves, and build merchandise displays.
● Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom; and help set up sidewalk displays.
