I've been in many fields of construction. (Heavy civil, structural, underground utilities, concrete, road construction, bridge construction) (labor, operator, foreman, superintendent, estimator, and project manager). My growth from starting at the bottom and working to the top has come from my hard work and dedication to the job. Having the skills to work well with others and teach others the skills they need to grow as a person and an asset to the company. My attention to detail has also helped me succeed with these companies. In the last eight years, I have owned my own businesses. Owning my own business has been one of my greatest accomplishments. Working in the construction industry taught me so much about myself, and how to grow as a person and a leader. My father always told me that there is no such thing as a stupid question. That's because it's not stupid if you don't know the answer to it. It takes leadership and dedication to teach others the things they do not know. I'm a firm believer in helping people grow and learning more. That's another reason I have made it so far in my life. I never wanted to just settle for what I was doing I always wanted to better myself and learn as much as I could. Having good leadership skills has helped me build great teams in the field and the office. I have never been afraid of jumping in and helping out. To me it builds trust and loyalty in a crew. With a crew that trusts you and stands behind you, you can achieve almost anything. I'm a hands-on learner. Communication to me is one of the best skills to have. Communication can make a job run like a well-oiled machine.
