Work History
Director of Operations, Events, and Community Partnerships
Be The Difference Foundation
09.2012 - Current
Be The Difference Foundation is a non-profit started in 2012 by four ovarian cancer survivors
Dollars raised by the Foundation come from private donations, events, peer-to-peer initiatives, grants, and corporate sponsorships and partnerships
These dollars fund programs for education, research, and patient services and support
As Director, I oversee the day-to-day operation of the Foundation in addition to overseeing our fundraising events, donor recruitment & stewardship, securing community & corporate partnerships, grant writing, and managing state regulatory registrations
Our signature fundraiser, Wheel to Survive is an inspirational indoor cycling event
Since its inception in 2013, Wheel to Survive has raised more than $5 million in the fight against ovarian cancer
More recently, we created Runway for Hope, a luncheon and fashion show featuring ovarian cancer survivors as our models for spring and fall fashions
The money raised at Runway for Hope funds clinical trials for ovarian cancer patients through Mary Crowley Cancer Research.
