  • Responsibilities include:
  • In-process and receiving inspections of purchased, manufactured, modified and chemically processed parts.
  • Familiarity with ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2003 (R2018) for attribute sampling.
  • Frequent Final Inspection (visual, electronic and dimensional) on finished product before shipping to customers, as well as maintaining complete and accurate records of outside processes to ensure they meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Creating First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102 Forms 1, 2 and 3) and Inspection Report Procedure Forms.
  • Working with Engineering and Production to identify causes of nonconformities and find resolutions to the issues.

  • Interpreting blueprints and determining correct measuring equipment (Keyence portable CMM, caliper, micrometer, depth gauge, height gage, threaded plug/ring gages, pi tapes, ultrasonic testers, borescopes, microscopes, indicators) to use based on tolerance and application.
  • Reviewing outside process certifications.
  • Reviewing raw material certifications for compliance to specifications and DFARS requirements and also documenting heat lot codes for traceability as needed.
  • Performing non-volatile residue testing, particulate matter inspections and any Acceptance Test Procedures/Reports as needed.
