Meal Preparation
October 18th, 2021 start date, trained in pick where I continuously strived for excellence in productivity, recommended for Learning Ambassador in December of 2021. I became an Ambassador in January, and was then recommended for Process Guide in May of 2022. I trained in Process Guide in July of 2022, and was encouraged to apply for Process Assistant in August of 2022. I became a Seasonal Process Assistant in November of 2022, and officially promoted to Process Assistant on February 19th, 2023. I joined Carlos Mendez’s team as his PA for the peak 2022/2023 season where I successfully coached his team from a 290 LC5 rate, to a 340 LC5 rate over the course of 4-5 weeks. After peak I joined Mallory Harney’s team as her PA and helped coach her team to 330-350 LC5 rates and floor rates of 350-390.
Post peak 2023 I worked under AM Cay McKay and took on the responsibilities of being in charge of the tote runners, and becoming the learning POC for pick RT shift. With this leadership role, I assigned and coded all tote runners to all floors, including a tote facilitator, coached and monitored their safe usage of equipment, and upstaffed or downstaffed tote runners according to business needs. As learning POC I helped develop and encourage Cay’s team by taking ownership of their development into learning ambassadors, boosting the overall morale and performance of the team and shift.
Q2 of 2023 I started working under Ashley Taylor where I learned how to efficiently run a floor by myself by keeping track of development, feedback, and coding for all the associate’s under Ashley and myself. I used this skill to in turn help the other PA’s and AM’s on the shift by helping coach, audit, or deliver any quality and positive feedback they may have helping the overall shift.
In the fall of 2023 I worked under Mark Baxter, a new Area Manager. I successfully trained Mark how to speak and relate to associates by seeking to understand what barriers the associates might have, how to help remove them, and coming up with answers to simplify each situation while taking on his new leadership role.
Overall, I would say my biggest achievements at Amazon have been encouraging, training, and guiding fellow pick associate’s as an Ambassador, and sharing those values with them as their Process Assistant and leader to help their growth as an Ambassador. As an Area Manager, I would use this position to help further the growth of my associate’s, and in turn further help the customer.
