The Adult Protective Services Supervisor oversees the daily operations of APS staff responsible for investigating reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable and disabled adults. This role ensures compliance with state laws, agency policies, and ethical standards while promoting client safety, dignity, and well-being. Supervise, coach, evaluate APS social workers, and support staff, assign and monitor caseloads to ensure timely and effective service delivery, and provides guidance on complex or high-risk cases. Review investigations involving abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Ensures proper documentation, risk assessments, and case plans and approved case decisions and service interventions. Lastly, monitors compliance with state APS polices and timelines.

Provided case management and protective services to vulnerable adults, including elderly individuals and adults with disabilities. The role focuses on ensuring client safety, promoting independence, and connecting individuals with appropriate community resources and support systems. Advocates for clients’ rights, safety, and access to services. Coordinate services with healthcare providers, law enforcement, legal professionals, community agencies, etc.

• Analyzed default accounts to identify trends and recommend corrective actions. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to streamline default resolution processes. Managed customer communications to ensure timely follow-up on delinquent accounts. Developed training materials for new team members on default management procedures.

Assisted Work First Family Assistance recipients to improve the quality of their lives by achieving new levels of independence from public assistance programs through education, training and employment; evaluate, assess and provide social work, supportive services, case management services, and resources in the community; determines fraud in caseload; assists the clients to explore their assets and deficits and plan a remediation program aimed at mutually agreed goals, ending ultimately in employment and some measure of relief from dependency of public assistance. Worked along with the food Stamps, child support, and CPS departments. Provided documentation of all responsibilities met each work day. Prioritize and metdeadlines with a high degree of accuracy. Conducted job interviews and placed clients in places of employment. Supervised a 50 plus client caseload through duration as social worker.
