Originally from Germany, Jonas has built a distinguished career in film, TV, and video games. Jonas works as a performer and technician in the motion capture field, having hands-on experience with many of the mainstream motion capture systems. Working primarily as a freelancer has given him the opportunity to collaborate with many different production company's around the world, in order to create a broad understanding of the video game, film, and animation industries. From the Superbowl to Destiny 2, Jonas is always eager to learn and grow in his skills, but most of all he enjoys working with new people in creating efficient and encouraging teams.
I work as a specialist through Faceware Technologies to bring facial motion capture solutions to a variety of clients and projects. From setting up, capturing, and data delivery. Some projects have included Destiny 2 and Batman: Arkham Shadow.
I have worked many roles with Superalloy Interactive. Starting as a motion capture tech, setting up and maintaining the Xsens system for video games and film projects. From there I have been able to put on the suit and perform in a project called Tablemation, a 3D animated dining experience. I have also lead the team as a mocap supervisor and assistant director, helping in the creation and capture of a variety of projects.
As the motion capture supervisor, I was able to assist Silverspoon Animation, in collaboration with Nickelodeon with the execution of live AR performances in the 2024 Superbowl and Nickmas football games, as well as the 2024 Kids Choice Awards. I worked with high profile talent, set up the systems, and maintained performance on live broadcasts.
I was hired as a motion capture specialist and then supervisor, to be part of the main unit performance capture team for the Netflix Russo Brother's film, The Electric State. Fully shot in Atlanta, we worked with a 6 person mocap team and traveled with the production to every location, building and maintaining a fully mobile XSens capture system.
This is where I received my first experience in motion capture production and systems. Utilizing the Perception Neuron suits, I learned about setting up a mocap scene, suiting up and communicating with performers, and working together with the teams to fulfill the performance capture needs of the clients. As well as suiting up myself and learning how the mocap systems work from a performance aspect.
