I have 15 years of experience in law enforcement, 11 of which have been at Summa Health Protective Services/Police. I am a responsive and hardworking supervisor who maintains a positive and teamwork attitude. Over the years I have gladly taken on additional responsibilities from dispatch training, becoming the back up scheduler, assisting command staff with calling references for background checks, assisting the Detective Bureau with investigations, and in evidence room management. Looking to offer my skillset at the next level of promotion, Sergeant.

Work History

Armed Security Supervisor- Corporal

Provided protection of people/information/property for Summa Health System. As part of my position, I obtained certifications to carry equipment including firearm, taser, and ASP baton. As part of my daily responsibilities, patrolled assigned areas checking for any safety concerns and responded to calls for service. Responsibilities as a supervisor included overseeing staffing levels, approving reports, monitoring officer performance and providing discipline. On top of my normal duties, I am cross trained in dispatch and provide coverage in dispatch as well as assist in policy creation/improvement. Additional extra duties include helping command staff with investigations into conduct and calling references for applicant background checks. I also assist the Detective Bureau in investigations, surveillance review, and maintaining the evidence room. Responsibilities related to the evidence room include processing evidence and contraband as well as preparing evidence to be sent to the state crime lab.

Reserve Police Officer

As a reserve police officer, I received basic self defense training, and equipment training in OC Spray and ASP baton. Reserve officers were required to serve a minimum of 8 hours per month. As part of our patrol responsibilities, we assisted the on duty police officers with traffic accidents and directing traffic. In addition, we were responsible for checking the city parks and checking citizen houses who indicated they were on vacation. We checked the vacation homes for any unauthorized vehicles on the property, as well as making sure there were no open windows/doors. Reserve officers also assisted in the annual city Memorial Day parade, which needed traffic control for 2 miles of roadway. Additionally, I received two promotions while a reserve officer for Cuy. Falls PD, promoted to Sergeant and then Lieutenant. Responsibilities for being a reserve supervisor included scheduling for events, issuing equipment to new officers and collecting equipment from departed officers, and monitoring performance of reserve officers, issuing discipline if necessary.

When I was hired, my role was to set up the sanctuary for church services. The sanctuary was a dual purpose room and had a stage and approximately 400 chairs that were stacked weekly. I was responsible for putting the stage back together and setting up chairs as instructed. Additional responsibilities that I gained over the years included becoming an emergency contact key holder. If the alarm system went off, I would respond and meet the Stow Police/Fire. I also became responsible for setting up the classrooms, making sure the table and chairs were setup according to the instructed set up for various functions of the rooms. I also would be responsible for unlocking/locking the building for various functions.

Delivery Driver

As a delivery driver, I was responsible for delivering food orders to residential and commercial locations. Delivery drivers were also expected to assist with cleaning duties such as taking out the trash, cleaning pizza pans, and sweeping/mopping the floors. In between deliveries, I assisted the cooks in taking orders and cooking the food. Shortly after being hired, I was selected to take on additional responsibilities which included opening and closing the store, maintaining the cash register, and work as a cook if needed.
