  • Once I graduated from both of the training programs I completed my 5 month Military Occupational Specialties(MOS) school that required in class courses and hands on training.
  • After graduating I was assigned to my new unit(HMLA-775) and was able to begin my occupation as a helicopter mechanic maintaining, inspecting, learning and growing more skills in my expertise of our aircrafts.
  • Recorded maintenance actions in aircraft logbooks.
  • Examined and tested aircraft parts, components and systems to verify airworthiness and functionality.
  • Removed and installed aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, and mechanical flight controls.
  • Troubleshot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems and tested equipment following repairs.
