When im not working I enjoy most is spending time with my wife and kids and watching them grow and develop, learn new things and become good people. I enjoy fishing, the beach, going to the lake, sports and just about anything outdoors. I grew up playing hockey, still play pickup on friday nights and love going out to a pond to skate and ice fish with family and friends.
When I moved on from tree work in 2014 I joined the IBEW local 104 and started my career in linework. Gaps in my employment history were filled with similar shorter lasting jobs in which some differed but essentially was doing similar types listed im my employment history and I was responsible for using the same types of skills. Some were ground work and more labor intensive and others were operating equipment, driving truck or whatever was needed. All jobs since joining the union were either land clearing extending right of ways for new transmission lines, building road access in the right of ways to allow entry for heavy equipment and bucket trucks or setting power line poles and transferring wire over to new structures. As well as my aforementioned drilling experience. There were multiple contractors as work in the union is generally shorter term jobs and layoffs generally happen upon their completion which is my main reason for a career change.
