Work History

Manufacturing Assistant Supervisor

Baxter Healthcare Corporation
12.2024 - Current
  • Within two weeks of starting this position, my Supervisor quit, and I went to acting Supervisor. My job responsibilities included supporting and emphasizing Safety and Quality commitments of the department. Supervise the daily manufacturing operations of my area-maintain (audit, refine, improve) equipment and processes within my area. Facilitate and very appropriate training for employees in my area. Ensure proper compliance with ALL GMP rules, product documentation, specifications, SOP's and cGMPs while adhering to FDA regulations. I had to interact with all levels of personnel to analyze and tackle problems related to quality, manufacturing, documentation, and all personnel issues. I had to submit and/or maintain and distribute reports related to attendance, labor, efficiency, safety, scrap, and others as needed. When other Supervisors were out I would have to step up to lead multi lines as needed. I had to react quickly to medical situations of my employees and be proactive to create a peaceful environment that my team can be successful in. I had to work closely with Quality, Engineering, and other multi functions to be successful. I would send out escalations when needed. I would submit change controls as necessary to continue to grow the company toward success. I created all the building foundations for our new machines such as cleaning WI, Mid shift checks, Pre flight checks, etc. I became an expert in my area, and quickly became one the other Supervisors could lean on when needed. I take pride in my work ethic. I managed around 35-55 employees approximately.

Operational Excellence

Baxter Healthcare
05.2023 - 12.2024
  • I was responsible for investigating, identifying and correcting any inefficiencies in machine performance. I have taken part in major maintenance activities during PM's, Break Downs and during any active projects. I would advise the leadership team and take action of any safety, quality, discrepancy, or any major mechanical issues that may occur. I developed “preferred settings” for machines, developed troubleshooting guides, and created many document changes to improve our processes and procedures for many of my lines. I would call meetings with Managers and Directors when needed to collaborate ideas to improve our processes. I worked with Amplas, Kiefel, Packing etc to identify and correct weaknesses with the teams or defects. I led many projects and change controls with ECM's, FE's etc to improve our uptimes and decrease defects by proving the cost savings for each project I presented to the leadership team. Within these changes, I have worked with OE's to evaluate any environmental risk involved, and make sure that it correlates with our current SOP's and adheres to our FDA guidelines and regulations. I have took part in running Protocols and Validations as we have brought newer machines in. I have worked alongside Engineering most days to continue to work in Continuous Improvement activities, and provide all the teams I worked with, with the tools they have needed to be successful. I have continued to change morale, and very quickly work to alleviate any inefficiencies I see on any of the lines I work. I have become very interested in working in many teams across multiple shifts and departments over various projects during this role. I believe addressing the root causes and fixing them at the source driving Safety, Quality, and Production in that order is my top priority with any team I work with. I am very comfortable with creating work orders and PR's. I have access to Coupa, and I have reached out to outside vendors on multiple occasions to purchase items. I have worked directly with receiving to get out of spec items sent back. I am very confident in my ability to work with people to build the best team in any department that I am a part of.

Production Technician 1 (Pouch Side)

Baxter Healthcare

  • I was responsible for operating Bosch's, ROP's, and Loaders, ensuring that the machine and bags were in specifications by following quality/SOP Standards. I took part in helping with protocol and validation while the new machines were brought in. I performed and executed batch changes, as well as sub lot procedures as required. I performed minor routine and preventative maintenance while supporting (TPM). I took part in a Kaizen to drive our line clearance failures down. I periodically had to make adjustments to ensure all equipment was performing optimal with minimal scrap. I led during most cleaning activities that took place and became a person everyone could rely on. I would lead around 10-15 from my line toward success

Production Technician 1 (Kiefel North)

Baxter Healthcare
01.2021 - 05.2022
  • I was responsible for running a Kiefel machine, ensuring that the machine and bags were within specifications by following Quality/SOP standards to get optimal running time. During this period, I maintained LEAN goals and OEE standards. Very quickly in this role, I became the top producer for 4th shift, and a person people could rely on. I am never afraid to point out others mistakes and question what others see as normal. I worked on many (TPM) projects with maintenance. I would investigate, identify and correct or escalate any inefficiency in the machines performance. I would make necessary adjustments to ensure the best product was going out to our customers. I took a role in leading the team using 6S principles to maintain a safe and clean work area. I also took part in Kaizen to better our procedures in Kiefel.

I also would occasionally help in other areas as needed.
  • Mitigated risks associated with hazardous materials handling through strict adherence to established safety guidelines during the filling process.

  • I was responsible for running four CNC machines simultaneously. In between cycles I had to ensure parts were clear of machine debris and coolant. Periodically parts needed to be measured on a CMM by Quality then hand gauged by the machine operator. I frequently had to move material in and out of the plant on a forklift between cycles. When parts were out of limit, machine adjustments were needed along with setting up new tools when they became dull. I quickly excelled in every department I worked in and achieved to top level, level five and obtained L3 Painting and L3 Wheelabrator certifications.
