As a college student observing field experience work in physical education at Wethersfield High School. Throughout my time there I was able to see how physical education teachers engage students in a variety of activities, ranging from team sports to fitness drills, all while promoting physical health, teamwork, and discipline. I noted the importance of adapting lessons to meet the diverse skill levels and needs of the students, ensuring inclusion and participation for everyone. The teacher's ability to maintain control of the class, provide positive reinforcement, and offer constructive feedback was especially valuable for my own learning. Physical Education helped shape both the students physical and mental abilities and this was something I noticed. During my time at Wethersfield High School the two main focus points of the classes were units of volleyball and badminton.
