When working on the docks, I am in charge of verifying that BOLs and shipment counts add up. If the paperwork shows 4 pallets shipped I am in charge of verifying 4 pallets made it.

I am also in charge of receiving gear into stock so it can be stored away into our freezer area using a power jack.

We try to be as accurate and as safe as we can be when unloading and storing away goods

I was on the shipping team here and in charge of making sure all shipments were properly wrapped, labeled and had all the paperwork needed to ship.

This included banding pallets and manually creating labels using excel

When working here I was under the impression that I would be a lead of my own team which soon changed so I had to find something better for myself

We worked as a team to sort and organize packages coming off of FedEx ground trucks at the end of each day.

We would also receive shipments from freight trucks which then had to be unwrapped, broken down and added to truck.

I was originally a order picker and a truck loader, I would pick orders including doors and hardware. I would load customer trucks with shipments that were picked and staged to be picked up.

I was eventually promoted to a truck loader for our local deliveries which included organizing in the order of our delivery route.

Once I received my license I was promoted once again to a delivery driver which included about 90% of orders in the downtown Austin area. We had strict time lines because of loading dock restrictions at some buildings, fire & tow away zones, one-way streets and pedestrian traffic

This was my first job ever, here I learned people skills, how to use RFID scanners and basic warehouse functions.

Here I was in charge of picking orders and preparing these orders to ship. I would pick an online order take it to the packing area and have it prepared for packing.
