Team Leader/Assembler 3 Aerospace Sheet Metal Worker

Orizon Aerostructures
Chanute, United States
09.2018 - 04.2026
  • I worked at Orizon as an Assembler for roughly 6.5 years. Especially my last 4.5 years there, I played a huge role for the company. Whenever they built the building for section 11 which is the fuel tank for the 737 max also known as the wingbox, I was 1 of only 3 employees that started over there.
  • I have successfully built every sub-assembly for the wingbox. Additionally, I have worked every operation to put the wingbox together except for putting on the sealant and vapor barrier at the end of the line. What they call Day 1 of the build, I was the team lead over that area in the FAJs for over a year.
  • After I trained a new lead for Day 1, I then became a rework specialist/SME (Subject Matter Expert)/tag specialist and did nothing but work tags, R&R of scrap parts, pulling/oversizing holes at 1st and 2nd over to keep them from being a tag for any and every part/job on the wingbox. I successfully pulled hundreds of holes and changed hundreds of parts most of the time with very little to no help.
  • Earned Employee of the Month recognition within a year for versatility in building various parts to meet monthly goals and commitment to working extended hours to achieve project deadlines.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of hole tolerances for 1st and 2nd oversizing without triggering tags, and adept at identifying suitable hardware substitutions and oversize hardware for applications in oversize holes.
  • Other than the wingbox on the 737, I have also worked on the grasshopper, the fan cowl box and the hinge and latches.
  • Other than the 737, I have also worked on a few of the major assemblies for the F35 and one major assembly on the triple 7.

Ranch Hand

Beachner Brothers
St. Paul, United States
08.2017 - 09.2018
  • With me growing up around horses and cattle I already had some ranch experience. Fed all new cattle that arrived on trucks and taught them to approach the feed truck using a small pen, gradually moving them into a larger pen each week. This taught them to come up to the truck by siren.
  • Ran all the new cattle through the chute to brand, vaccinate, and tag them after morning feeding.
  • Here, we used horses to sort out any sick calves and bring them through the chute for doctoring. It is very difficult sometimes to spot the calves that needed doctoring and I was told there that I had a very good eye for spotting them. This definitely saved some calves for the company.
  • Refilled mineral tubs and checked/cleaned the automatic waterers.
  • Broke ice on the ponds during freezing winter months to provide cattle with drinking water.
  • Here, I gained a lot of experience in backing a trailer, whether it was to load/unload cattle or to set up a corral.
