Jan-April, 2024 Fundamentals at Little Neck Care Center - Developed more confidence interacting with patients and building rapport through therapeutic communication in Fundamentals clinical while assisting in a 40-bed short term rehabilitation floor. 

May-August, 2024 Med/Surg 1 at Mt. Sinai Queens - Conducted head-to-toe patient assessments along with a licensed nurse. Assisted in planning as well as implementing patient care plans based on findings including medication administration, patient repositioning, and patient education. 

May-August, 2024 L&D at Flushing Hospital - Assisted nursing staff during live birth of a newborn. Cleaned, dried, and warmed the baby before assessing the baby with an RN to determine APGAR score. 

Sept-Dec 2024, Med/Surg 2 at St. Francis Hospital - Further practiced post-operative care and pain management using medication administration techniques such as IM injections, IV push, and via PEG tubes. Utilized strip reading knowledge to care for patients on constant telemetry monitoring. 

Sept-Dec 2024, Mental Health at Jamaica Hospital - Performed suicide risk assessments and safety planning for mental health patients. Trained in de-escalation techniques in the event of erratic or dangerous patient behavior 

Jan-March, 2025 Critical Care Capstone at Flushing Hospital - Over 100 hours in an Intensive Care Unit, strengthening patient assessment skills and learned new techniques while directly caring for critically ill patients. Learned new skills of ventilator management and troubleshooting alarms, titrating vasoactive medications such as norepinephrine, interpreting and responding to ABGs and directly communicating with providers to ensure the highest level of patient care.
