• Build tow which includes laying lead wires, (sizzor breasts, short tears, seven wires, straights, four and afts, makes sure outside of tow is doubled up, square up barges)
• Make sure all wires are bone tight using a set of tools which consists of a cheetah pipe, C-bar, and picks.
• Use buddy system to make sure work is done as safe and quickly as possible. (35 ft, rule, use proper radio communication at all times to communicate with both Co-workers and captain. Talk barges in using radio so that captain is aware of where he is at all times.
• Keep working area clear of trip hazards at all times. wash boat, make sure daily clean up is completed at end of watch, make sure engine room check is completed before watch which consists of checking oil in both engines, checking the oil in generators, and checking the oil in clutches.

Build and brake tow, tighten down wires using a set of tools, talk in barges, square up barges, complete engine room checks before watch, complete clean ups after watch. wash boat, use buddy system, use proper radio communication.
