I've worked for this company several times. the company started me out as a packer, packing boxes, wrapping furniture with a list you had to learn of things you couldn't take, Then they moved me to loader were then I was tasked with a crate that I had to stack and arrange X amount of weight into crates, I left the company and they wanted me back offering me more money as warehouse manager those terms wasn't meet, they gave me more and more responsibility and keep me at base pay. I've returned to this job as a temp to find a good lifetime job for me.
Grace Property Management was definitely a learning experience, They designed teams to go around SSAB to remove debris across the plant along with painting the green mile, hand rails, safety areas. This also did not exclude from cleaning bathrooms, break areas., or hoping on skid steers, forklifts, and dingo's to help assist us in our areas.
The opportunity came up for team lead this meant getting job reports signed, tool check off, also telling the team hazards that would be in that area, and getting JSA signed by supervisors that were over the area we would be in on that specific day.
Reason for leaving was due to no increase in pay after promised and i was only supposed to work for GPM for a couple of weeks so i could be swapped over to SSAB.
This company was open for about 3 years before I came had a good size team, after a couple of months I was given team lead, they gave me a work truck and work tools, and along with being in charged o getting all equipment ready for the next day on the truck.
They entrusted me on dingo's, operating power tools, coming up with layouts for flower beds, placements of trees, and picking the plants out for the type of yard within a price range.
This was just a shutdown, I learned how to grind and buff a beed on a weld. the learned a bit on how to cut the pipe to the measurements and put the edges in and out.
I wanted to know what being a cop felt like and the system, Im in very good health and conditioning so I went and passed. filed reports, and did tons of paper work. but what took my passion away was sitting in the car all day after they promised swat and a bunch of other stuff.
